Discover a serene off-grid cabin retreat on the North Fork of Smith River, perfect for nature lovers seeking seclusion and adventure in Crescent City, California.

Overview of the Rustic Off-Grid Cabin
Take a look inside this rustic off-grid cabin located in Crescent City, California, United States. The private off-grid wood cabin on the North Fork of Smith River is WiFi, and pet friendly too. The rustic cabin can accommodate up to 2 people with 1 bedroom, and 2 bathrooms (1 full bath, and 1 half bath). The secluded custom cabin sits on 9 acres of private river frontage on the Smith River. During your vacation stay, you can listen to the roar of the Smith River, the most pristine un-dammed river in the country. The off-grid cabin sits on 9 riverfront acres with a caretaker on site. There is limited fishing because it is near the spawning grounds, is completely secluded, with a great swimming hole nearby, and is 16 miles from the nearest neighbors. It doesn't get much better than the beautiful location surrounded by nature, and gorgeous scenery. The cabin has everything you need for a relaxing and comfortable vacation stay.
Modern Amenities with Rustic Charm
The cabin is new and modern but has a rustic kitchen with soapstone, gas cooktop, refrigerator, and dishwasher. There is no oven, no microwave, and no freezer. There is an outdoor wood-fired BBQ area, granite slab shower, soapstone counters throughout, and a queen-sized bed in the loft. This is not the kind of place you are going to come to and then run out for dinner or groceries, so you want to bring everything you need. It is 20 miles of dirt road which takes 1.5 hours to get to any amenities, with no cell service. The cabin has good wifi. As it is 20 miles of dirt road, a 4-wheel drive is recommended but not necessary. This vacation cabin is perfect for kayakers and rafters, Jeep enthusiasts, and wildflower enthusiasts.
The Caretaker and Unique Location
The caretaker on the property can restart the power in case someone tries to use a blow dryer and shuts off the power. Think of it as the kind of seclusion you would get at a fire lookout except this property has river frontage. The access for rafting the north fork of the smith river is right across from the driveway to the house. Crescent City is a unique town far along the Northern California coast, near the Oregon border on Highway 101. It's a city bounded by coastal redwoods and an ocean occasionally swept by fog. These picturesque environments are reason alone to visit. Among the scenic landscapes are boats atop the water, ancient groves of attraction, and a lighthouse cutting through the fog.
Exploring Crescent City and Its Attractions
Crescent City is at the northern end of the Redwood Highway, making it a popular pit stop along this bucket-list scenic drive. Within five miles of the downtown district, Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park is the closest access point to these ancient trees.
