The vacation rental is located on a beautiful piece of property, set in a sunny clearing within the forest you'll be able to enjoy the quiet and relaxing environment. You'll be surrounded by wildlife, on this amazing island retreat that is a peaceful haven to artists, authors, and photographers. While staying at the Ravens Ridge you can enjoy activities such as kayaking which is a 5-minute walk from the cabin building, hiking, quiet roads for cycling, fishing, swimming beaches and calm bays perfect for wakeboarding and other watersports. Ravens Ridge and Mayne Island have a bit of something for everyone.

Private Forest Retreat

Ravens Ridge vacation rental is situated within 15 acres of private forest, here you will have hiking trails, vegetable garden, an orchard, wood-fired sauna, greenhouses, and a pond too. The owners are artists and specialize in chain saw carvings, they have several of their carvings around the property. The owners have also recently added an 18 hole disc golf course within the forest, which is a fun way to walk around the beautiful property. The cabin building retreat also welcomes well-behaved pets. Guests can access all of the areas of the property however the vegetable garden on-site and the wood-fired sauna would need to be pre-arranged with the owners. The guest's small cottage plan has its large lawn and fenced deck area, which is ideal for children or pets. The small cottage plan has a steep staircase which may not be suitable for elderly or young children, however, the owners do provide a double sofa bed on the ground floor, in case this is an issue.

Wildlife and Isolation

On the island, there is an abundance of wildlife to include Woodpeckers, Bald eagles, Turkey Vultures, Owls, several Deer who visit daily, Otters, Squirrels, and many others. The cabin building is located on a no through road, about a 5 minutes walk to the beach and a boat launch. There is also a lovely restaurant around a 20-minute walk.

Convenient Transportation Options

Mayne Island has a community bus that you can call for a ride anywhere on the island and provides a fantastic service. The island also has a car stop system at regular spots on the island if you stand at a car stop sign then people will stop and pick up traveling people at these unique car stops. If you need a ride from the ferry on arrival if the owners are available they will also be happy to collect you from the ferry, the ferry is around a 15-minute drive from Ravens Ridge vacation rental.
