Vintage VW Truck Towing Classic Hand Built Wooden Teardrop Camper
For those who like the good old, classic vintage trucks and trailers, this one's going to be a showstopper. A vintage VW truck with a classic hand-built teardrop trailer made from wood was built over six years with major precision and detail. The trailer frame was also custom built as well, and the exterior was crafted out of one-inch birchwood that was treated, stained and sealed for the elements.

This stylish teardrop camper would be perfect for camping, and far more comfortable than a tent with a 6 inch Tempurpedic foam mattress and other amenities like 12V LED Lighting, reading lamps, 110V RV hook up with trickle battery charger. There are also 3 USB ports for charging up any electronic devices. They installed vintage vent windows and went with classic plaid curtains, and there's a 12 V ceiling vent fan which helps with air circulation too. The trailer also has a 3-gallon water tank with pump and heater and a Coleman stove.

So it's all ready for travel and fun. It's much like the teardrop trailers from the early 1900s that you can still find for sale second hand. But it's so nice they made this one completely custom.

Many people buy them second hand and then refinish them to bring them up to date. Teardrop trailers have been around for quite some time, and in the 1930s they became really popular. From then on, they've been a go-to trailer that's easy to tow and quite affordable to buy. While they still make teardrop trailers in newer models to the current regulations and specifications, it's nice to have a vintage look with a custom trailer like this or a refinished vintage one.

This tiny camper could sleep two adults so it could be the perfect way for a couple to travel around together. Since this camper is so tiny, it can be towed by most vehicles easily, and it also comes with a built-in electronic brake controller. You could even add some solar panels to make it very energy efficient and off-grid.

Which means you could practically take it camping anywhere where trailers are allowed. While this camper could not be lived in full-time, it would be a nice size of a camper to take travelling, even for longer trips. Larger campers have been turned into small mobile homes, but they are usually at least 16 feet long at the minimum. They are also usually wider at 8.5 feet wide instead of 4.6 like this camper trailer is and small mobile homes also usually have higher ceilings too with a maximum height of 13.6 feet high.

The reason mini houses on trailers have to be within these guidelines is to fit on the highway so they can be towed safely without a pilot vehicle or a special permit to tow them. The smaller the mini house or camper, the easier it will be to tow, and a small trailer like this teardrop one could even possibly be towed by a smaller car. Smaller campers will also save you gas since it doesn't weigh a lot.
