This cute cottage located in Wales used to be a barn and has been converted into a sweet cottage called Nant which means brook in Welsh since there is a little creek that is right by the cottage. Located in Dyffryn Ardudwy, Wales in England, the cottage features two bedrooms and can accommodate 4 people as a family with kids or 3 adults.

The price per night is around £400 to £790 depending on the time of year you visit. This would be the perfect farm stay for those who want to have a relaxing getaway and to get a feel for the slower pace of the English countryside although you don't have to unplug completely as there is internet and WiFi included in the stay and available to use. The cottage was completely rebuilt by local craftspeople since it used to be a barn. They used many natural and local materials to recreate the traditional build including slate tiles for the floors.

Although, underneath those slate tile floors is the modern underfloor heating system which helps keep the cottage nice and cozy along with the wood burning fireplace. Most of the work was done by Mike who is a local carpenter; he did all of the hand carved the oak trusses and the glazed gable end. Charlie and Rich are the stonemason brothers who did the exterior stonework, and all of the stones were found out in the local fields surrounding the home. The cottage has a main floor with a bedroom as well as the loft with a king sized bed in the loft.

The atmosphere in the home is very cozy and welcoming so anyone would feel right at home no matter how far they had to travel to get there. Also on the main floor is the open living area with a kitchen where there is an oven, stove and even a dishwasher to make clean up a lot easier. The folding doors on the south end of the cottage are made from solid oak and open up to the beautiful property and fresh air. All of the wood furniture is made from oak, and the leather sofas are made from real leather.

The bathroom includes a thermostatic shower, a sink and vanity as well as a toilet and an old cast iron radiator. The owners added their own unique, and cute touches including the hand made curtains and they also restored some old furniture that they found locally. The home is also decorated with art from local artists and artisans. The home is located on a piece of land that they call Byrdir which is a functioning farm with pigs, chickens and ducks.

Guests are welcome to experience farm life by gathering eggs and feeding the pigs. The beaches are only a mile away as well, and the Rhinnog Mountains are perfect for daily walks and hikes. The hosts even provide a welcome basket with coffee, tea and wine with some flowers. All of the linens, towels and dishes are included as well.
