The home has 2,600 square feet of living space, with 3 bedrooms, and 2.5 baths. The home comes from Yankee Barn Homes who worked with the dynamic couple who brought the Moose Ridge Lodge. This time the couple built the main house in the modern farmhouse style, which they aptly called The Main Street Farmhouse.

At 2,600 square feet with 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths, this will be downsizing from their previous house. Andrew began working for Yankee Barn right out of college 15 years ago. He always aspired to build a Yankee Barn of his own. Once married, his aspiration became the couple's dream.

In 2008 they had the opportunity to build a vacation home in northern New Hampshire (Moose Ridge) which focused on entertaining large groups and housing companies. The couple has been in love with it from day one. When their central New Hampshire home sold, they didn't think twice about building a Yankee Barn.

Their goal with The Main Street Farmhouse was to maximize space while being cost-effective. Coming from a 3,200 sq foot house with a two-garage (which to some is not a lot) down to a 2,600 square foot home with the same amount of rooms and stuff, proved to be a planning challenge. The true uniqueness of the post and beam barn style home allows for seemingly higher ceilings and enhanced architectural interest all around.

They always wanted to build a smaller home design with all of the details that make it unique, yet financially attainable. The couple planned to integrate the latest electrical technology, which includes solar power, renewable energy, and high high-efficiency sources.

Like every wife planning a home, Pinterest has been Stef's best friend (and her husband's worst enemy). But that aside, the couple collected some unique fixtures and building materials to integrate into the project matching the modern farmhouse style. They are a family with two young girls.

One of Stef's favorite design features is the Jack and Jill bathroom between their bedrooms. They decided to include two showers (one as a tub) and double sinks with a stall stylstall-styles on their list of must-haves must-have outdoor kitchen and living space. Included in the couples list of must-haves were a large outdoor kitchen and living space, surround sound, wood-stamped concrete deck, pool, full solar power, and high-efficiency heat forced hot air. You are sure to be inspired by this stunning barn-style house with its wraparound covered porch, farmhouse details, and beautiful design features throughout.
