Minty retained ownership of the Pioneer Moon Ranch, known to her and McQueen as Crazy M Ranch, after his death in 1980 and sold it in 1999. Like McQueen, Minty also preferred to live on ranches, and she owned a few properties in Idaho. It was her love for Idaho that led McQueen to buy the ranch. The log house ranch with mountain views is nestled at the bottom of the Pioneer Mountains, and sits on 500 acres and includes a 1.5-mile stretch of Big Wood River's East Fork. This log house ranch is more of a compound than a single-family log home.
