One of the best features of a log home is that when you heat the logs they radiate warmth back into the room which increases energy efficiency. In warmer climates, this works in reverse, so when the sun is beating down on the exterior of the log home it doesn't transfer that heat to the interior and keeps you cooler in the warm summer months. While during the colder months the log home keeps you cozy and warm due to the thermal mass of the logs.

Thermal Mass is the ability of the logs to absorb and store energy. In the case of a log wall, the stored energy is radiated back into the room when the interior temperature falls. The thicker the log wall, the greater your thermal mass and the more energy efficient your log home will be. Most Polish travel itineraries start in Warsaw and end in Krakow.
