The amount of stuff that you will have to get rid of will largely depend on your home design. You might have a large walk-in closet and lots of storage space, so if that is the case you will probably have to get rid of quite a bit of stuff, through recycling, donating, possibly storage and more. If you add storage space, then you could avoid downsizing altogether some of your stuff and have plenty of storage space, although this will cost you additional money.
