These days the standard house is oversized with at least 1,500 square feet of space, and it seems the bigger the better, so small house living is a nice way to be reminded of how good a modest life can be. Tiny houses are typically anywhere between 100 to 500 square feet (the same size as most storage units or garages) so there really is no place to hide. In a tiny house, you can't have clutter, and if there are any issues you have to resolve it quickly. And there's something to say about that.

There is the fact that a tiny house is more eco-friendly, as there is less stuff, less energy used and the tiny house takes up less space. And that means that a tiny house design costs less, which puts less stress on its owners about their mortgage and hopefully gives them more disposable income. There are health benefits to small house living too.

The Scandinavians know all about comfort, with the Danish even having a word for it, hygge which is a Danish word that doesn't have a direct English translation, but loosely translates to creating a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere. What can be cozier than a tiny house space?

If your kitchen space is clear and uncluttered, you are also more likely to prepare your foods. And a tiny bedroom with just enough room for a bed, possibly a table with a light, means that you will probably sleep better too. That may sound small, but it's just the right amount of room that is needed to have a better rest.

A bedroom that is void of stimulating things, such as a television and light is recommended to help you get a better nights sleep. And small house living can also help with intimacy and better relationships. Just think how cozy a tiny house space is, especially for romantic dinners and good conversation. Small house living encourages people to talk and spend time together which is something that is often lacking in larger houses where everyone is separated a lot of the time.
