Part of the appeal of this charming cabin building is all the wood used both inside and out. There are a variety of reasons that building with wood is so popular, with one of the most important reasons being sustainability. Every building material that is used begins with the extraction of the natural resource and ends with its disposal.

Wood is the most eco-friendly raw building material that humans have at their disposal. For these reasons, an eco-conscious person should be looking at wood as a building material over other natural resources. With that said if you are choosing wood for your cabin building, you want to make sure that the wood you are getting comes from a sustainably managed forest. Tree harvesting is where the extraction process begins that later provides the wood for things such as cabin buildings, home designs, paper products, and furniture.
