All rooms but the master have vaulted ceilings which create a very open feel. The home design has a lack of interior walls and vaulted ceilings which allow you to live large in a smaller house. There is a covered and screened porch located on the left side of the floor plan that allows you to enjoy the views of your lot.

This is just one of the floor plans you might choose when designing your home, the Wedowee Creek Retreat has 2,120 square feet, with 3 bedrooms, 2 1/2 bathrooms, and two stories. It is a craftsman-style home. The Craftsman style is a popular style of home that emerged from the American Craftsman movement of the turn of the 20th century that spanned everything from architectural design to interior and landscape design, applied and decorative arts.

Craftsman home designs are an American architectural design tradition that emerged and spread about the years from 1900 and 1929. It was a backlash against the mass-produced, Industrial Revolution-fueled Victorian architectural design boom that prized ornament and decoration made all the more accessible by new technologies. Craftsman architectural design was an aesthetic reaffirmation of the beauty of natural building materials and forms, and the marvels of what humans can make with their own hands.

American Craftsman style was inspired by the British Arts and Crafts movement and was especially popular in California and the Midwest, but it spread across the country in part thanks to American furniture designer Gustav Stickley, an Arts and Crafts movement booster who helped popularize the style (and coin the name) with his early 20th-century monthly magazine The Craftsman. Craftsman-style home designs remain one of the most popular styles of homes in the United States.

Original Craftsman houses are still widely sought after, and the core elements of Craftsman style continue to inspire architects and neo-Craftsman new builds to this day. Some of the key characteristics of craftsman home designs include the low-pitched roofs with protruding single or double gables and overhanging eaves, exteriors that feature intentionally exposed beams (brackets and rafters), wide and open front porches that are held up by signature thick tapered columns. Typically, Craftsman home designs are one to one and a half stories tall, may be symmetrical or asymmetrical, and large bay or picture windows include a small overhanging roof ledge positioned over the window with rafter tails.

Craftsman exteriors are usually painted wood siding, traditionally with cedar Shaker shingles. Craftsman home designs often include stone or stucco accents on both the interior and exterior. Craftsman homes were often painted in earth tones such as green and brown.
