You are sure to be inspired by this one-of-a-kind tiny house retreat in the woods. The dream tiny house design was conceived by Chris and Melanie would even meet. When they met and first began discussing their common love for small house living, it was clear that their collective building experience and aesthetic sense were a recipe for something truly special. With so many tiny homes being built with amazing bells and whistles, they planned to get back to the tiny house basics and build a tiny rustic/industrial home design with a focus on craftsmanship, just like as they would if they were building a full-sized luxury home, a quick (possibly 4 to 6 month) and ostensibly lucrative endeavor that would see a common dream realized, a healthy payday for all involved, and their largest collaborative project to date.

This custom luxury tiny house design boasts all of the craftsmanship and comforts of a full-sized home with a reduced carbon footprint. It was designed and handcrafted by a local artist and carpenter, this tiny home has been build to stand the test of time and is NOAH (National Organization of Alternative Housing) inspected and certified. The interior of this tiny house features a beautiful, spacious bath with a walnut counter, built-in storage, stunning mahogany door, full kitchen to include stainless steel appliances, large farmhouse sink, and custom maple countertop, a comfortable living area for entertaining/relaxing with a convertible sofa bed and two fireplaces. The tiny house also has a loft bedroom with access to the upper deck. The bathroom has a shower, sink with vanity, and a toilet.
The exterior is covered in wood. The outdoors are to be enjoyed with both the upper deck and the lower retractable drawbridge deck, an outdoor shower, a fire pit courtyard with a perennial garden, and a dining area. The tiny house design is sited on 4 acres of property with beautiful mountain views, a stream, trails, adjacent to the Battenkill, and on a state-maintained road. Options abound for the newly insulated and finished bonus building nearby. This tiny home can remain on the land with well and electricity or can travel and exist off-grid. This one-of-a-kind retreat in the woods is fully furnished, turn-key, and ready to be enjoyed.
With a limited budget and the limited resources of the shires of Vermont, the owners sourced whatever building materials they could from local businesses, going so far as to travel on a whim to the southern Adirondacks to personally reclaim the priceless Barnwood from a mid-19th century barn that had been destroyed by one of the recent Nor’Easters. That wood would become one of the most notable aesthetic highlights of Hemingway’s interior design. Features of the 270 square foot tiny house design include one loft bedroom, a bathroom, a kitchen, and a dining area. The tiny house has an upper balcony, lower covered deck, Energy Star doors, a garden space, natural shade, an outbuilding, storage, and window screens. The asking price is $265,000.
