Escape to the Scottish Highlands to this charming log cabin village of Eagle Brae to relax and reacquaint yourself with nature.
Here, you’ll find luxurious, eco-friendly cabin buildings that accommodate two to six people. The wood cabins are all hand-made and have been constructed from giant cedar logs by master craftsmen who are committed to reforestation. Every log has been chosen, carved, and fitted by hand and as a result, each of the log cabins is a work of art. Eagle Brae offers guests a largely carbon-neutral experience and is completely self-sufficient in terms of energy and utilities. A micro-hydro scheme provides electricity and heats the water sourced from a sustainable underground supply that’s treated on-site. This focus on sustainability doesn’t mean you have to compromise on luxury. All the log cabins feature underfloor heating powered by biomass wood-pellet burners to keep you cozy even on chilly evenings.
The cabins overlook a glen below, blending into their surroundings with their giant red cedar log structures and grass-insulated roofs.
Once inside, each log cabin has its character but all are cozy and welcoming. Inside you'll find large, open living spaces with wood-burners and comfy sofas to create a relaxed atmosphere while Himalayan wood carvings add to the unique decor. All of the wood cabins have a spectacular view of the surrounding Highlands and wild deer regularly pass through the village. They are all well equipped with modern appliances and the kitchens have everything you need to cook up a feast. However, if you want to put your feet up and let someone else take care of the cooking arrangements, Eagle Brae will deliver home-cooked meals to your door.
