You'll be sure to love the Beeberry Cottage an off-grid log cabin located in Caledon, Ontario, Canada.
The 672 square foot log cabin sleeps 6, with 1 bedroom, and a bathroom. The cozy cabin rental has an outdoor deck to enjoy throughout your stay. The Beeberry Cottage is a homey little off-grid log cabin set in the woods of a 100-acre working farm. Shop Tiny Homes During your vacation stay, you can spend your time wandering miles of serene wooded trails, feeding the horses, and fishing off the dock. The cabin is 8 by 12 feet and has an attached 10 by 12 foot covered gazebo for your outdoor enjoyment. It is quite a small and cozy cabin space. There is a tiny wood stove inside for use during colder months to heat the cottage. The toilet is an outhouse, still a common feature on farms in this area.
For summer cooking, you may prefer to use the BBQ.
You can also use the fire bowl for cooking, heating water, and enjoyment. Please use the spark guard when using the fire bowl and do not burn if there is a burn ban in effect (we will give you that information if the Township announces it). You will also want to please pay careful attention to details about fire safety before using any of the features. Water is available via jugs which are refillable at any of the farm water fountains. It is cold, clear, fresh water from our well. The taste can be somewhat mineral for people who are unaccustomed to well water.
Guests of the cabin can wander the whole farm, use the pond and visit all of the animals.
You will want to please ask the owners to show you how to safely interact with the animals and to show you the electric fence. Guests are welcome to visit the tiny farm gate store. The tiny farm gate stores sell eggs, dairy, meat, seasonal vegetables, soaps, honey, syrup, and jams among other items. If they haven't got what you need, they can probably send you right up the road to another farm that has. The owners thank you in advance for buying from and supporting small farms.
You will want to please consider carefully before booking to make sure a farm stay is a right vacation for you.
Farmstays are not hotels. You will want to note that the cottage is tiny. There is no electricity and no running water inside the cabin, and the toilet is in an outhouse. The rural location guarantees there will be insects and other wildlife around and possibly indoors if you leave the doors open. There are sounds of wildlife, domestic animals, and other farm noises. The owners also keep bees and their hives are a few hundred feet from the tiny cottage. The access to the tiny cottage is driving up a grass laneway. The cottage is in the forest. The BBQ and firepit are located outdoors and may have dust, pollen, or dirt on them.
