The charming wood cabin can accommodate up to six guests with three bedrooms, five beds, and one bathroom. During your vacation stay, you'll have the entire cabin building to yourself. Access to the Hovland Hideaway is self-check-in with a smart lock. The Hovland Hideaway is a picturesque North Shore wood cabin filled with charm and comfort. You can come and enjoy the panoramic Lake Superior views, the long secluded stretch of beach, and the quiet solidarity that is offered at the Hovland cabin.

The wood cabin sits along a private shoreline that is a unique blend of cobblestone and ledge rock. This location is perfect for hours of rock hunting and sitting by the bonfire while listening to the waves of Lake Superior and gazing out at the stars. The interior of the wood cabin is delightful with all the comforts of home. The wood cabin has three cozy bedrooms and a gas fireplace in the living room and dining room, a sunroom with incredible views of the lake, making it the perfect place to play a game or curl up with a good book.

The wood cabin grounds are spacious with plenty of room to enjoy a game of volleyball or badminton and a game of horseshoe is always good for a laugh. There are well-placed benches which provide the perfect spots to enjoy a morning cup of coffee. During your vacation stay, you can head down the shore and just a few miles away from where you will find the Judge C.R. Magney State Park and the infamous Devil's Kettle waterfall. You might stop by the restaurant at Naniboujou for a full meal or a cup of afternoon tea.

Up the shore from the wood cabin just a few miles to the Grand Portage Reservation is where you will find the Grand Portage National Monument and the Grand Portage Lodge and Casino, with its full-service restaurant. This is a seasonal wood cabin that is open May through November. Drinking water is provided at the wood cabin. You'll want to note that the sauna is in a separate building. Dogs are welcome at the wood cabin with prior approval and an additional fee, with a two dog maximum.
