Built in 1994 and located in the Pike National Forest the log cabin boasts amazing views. This log cabin is best suited for 4 people but has enough room for 6. The log cabin is 25 miles to Breckenridge, footsteps away from hiking, and a short drive from world-class fly fishing this cabin is suited for every outdoor adventure or simply relaxing in front of the wood-burning stove or on the wraparound deck. This log cabin has cell service, which can be hard to come by in the area.

Most important to note is that the log cabin is at 11,400ft. This is high altitude. During your vacation stay, you will want to take care to drink lots of water and take proper precautions while exerting yourself. People have different reactions to this high altitude. Unfortunately, if you do get sick the only solution is to head down to lower levels which may mean cutting your trip short. If coming from out of state please take the time to acclimate at a lower altitude before your arrival.

It is best to access the log cabin by a lower-level mudroom in the winter to keep the cabin warm and also to avoid bringing snow in. From the lower level, there is only spiral stair access to the upper level which may be an issue with children, older adults, and bigger dogs. Only satellite internet is available in this neighborhood. The speed is fast enough to stream movies, but may not be as fast as you’re used to. If you are intending on working while you are at the cabin you may want to consider bringing a hot spot.
