You'll want to take a closer look at the Hygge Barn, a cozy fully renovated wood cabin on the beautiful West Shore of Lake Tahoe. They say the west shore is the best shore and they are right. This cabin is all about the location where you can take a walk to Sugar Pine public beach, coffee shops, restaurants, and markets. The cabin is also just a few minutes' drives from Tahoe City where you can enjoy lakefront restaurants, cocktails, boutiques, yoga, and amazing coffee. There are world-renowned beaches and famous ski resorts just minutes from the Hygge Barn. During your vacation stay, you can wake up to a hot cup of pour-over coffee and cook breakfast in the cabin's fully equipped kitchen. The kitchen comes fully stocked with pots, pans, toaster, Chemex, Nespresso, electric stovetop, spices, foil, plastic wrap, Tupperware, and so much more.
Downstairs the cabin building features a full kitchen, a small breakfast nook area, a wood-burning fireplace to keep you warm on cold nights, remodeled bathroom with heated floors, hi-speed WiFi, a flat-screen TV, and access to Netflix/HBO MAX/Disney Plus. There is also one bedroom on the bottom floor with a queen-sized bed and forest views. The spacious upstairs master bedroom floods with natural light and provides stunning forest views and room to practice yoga (matt and dumbbells provided) while gazing out to the pine trees. During the summer you can enjoy outdoor seating/dining and this is where most guests choose to spend time. The cabin has full-size laundry available. Nearby destinations include the Homewood Ski Resort (3.5 miles), Meeks Bay (2 miles), Tahoe City (8.5 miles), High Sierra Water Ski School (6 miles), Emerald Bay (8 miles), and the Squaw Valley/Alpine Meadows Ski Resort (15 miles).

The primary heating source is a wood stove. The wood stove easily warms the wood cabin. The owners provide starter wood. They also have electric heaters that can be used if needed. They keep the cabin building very toasty. The owners own a second cabin building on the lot. Weather and California Fire Season, unfortunately, wildfires have become a regular occurrence during fire season (July to October). As such, the owners recommend purchasing trip/travel insurance. They are unable to predict smoke and/or air quality conditions and as such, no refunds will be given for wildfires, air quality, or other weather conditions including snowstorms.
