You'll be sure to love this tiny vacation home located in Ferris, Texas, United States. This tiny house can accommodate up to 5 guests with 2 bedrooms, 3 beds, and 1 bath. This tiny cottage is nestled behind an old farmhouse on a 100-acre working farm just 25 minutes south of Downtown Dallas. The 200-square-foot space features a detached/shared bathroom connected by the front porch with a beautiful stock tank soaker tub. Inside there is a bunk room complete with full and twin-size beds, a cozy loft with a queen mattress, and a quaint living room with a futon, electric kettle, microwave, and mini fridge. If you need a place to escape the hustle and bustle this is it.

Experience Working Farm Life

Mars Hill Farm is a working farm, so you'll see people baling hay, planting, moving the animals, etc. You are welcome to get to know the animals, especially the chickens and the owner's friendly dog. The tiny cottage is located at the front of the vacation property, near another house where the farm's caretaker lives. There is a pavilion with a fire pit and chairs just outside the cottage, you can build a fire and make yourself at home. Please be aware that the bathroom is occasionally used during the day by people on the farm. It is separate from the house, and the doors are connected by a porch.

Guidelines for Your Stay

Two houses on the vacation property have full-time residents who work on the farm so you'll want to note that those are off-limits. Please also stay out of the barns unless you are with a farm employee. Otherwise, make yourself at home at the fire pit, picnic tables, orchards, and everywhere else. Other things to note if you are planning a stay, October is the harvest at the Hill Sunflower Festival. If you book in October, you can wake up among the sunflowers. Any stay during October comes with free admission to the Harvest at the Hill festival. The property will be open to the public Fridays and Saturdays from 8:30 to 2, and by appointment on weekdays, so please know that other people will be on the farm during those hours. Cut your sunflowers and enjoy fall.
