The log cabin is a traditional full dovetail Appalachian cabin constructed of white pine. The log cabin is around 650 square feet with a full bathroom, full kitchen/dining area, and loft bedroom area. The log cabin has a covered vaulted front porch and rear porch. A large patio with Adirondack chairs makes for a relaxing space to spend evenings in the natural settings of the cabin grounds.

There are many amenities to make guests feel more at home including towels, linens for the beds, soap, shampoo, cooking utensils, pots, pans, and anything else you would need for cooking.

The cabin has a Weber gas grill on the back porch for grilling out as well. In addition, complimentary coffee and firewood (with fatwood starters) are provided for the wood stove and outdoor fire pit located on the patio. All areas are accessible on the vacation property, the front door is accessible using the keypad. The log cabin is located in a beautiful spot at approximately 4,000 feet elevation. Due to the elevation, temperatures are typically much cooler than in the surrounding areas. It is recommended to bring a jacket even in the warmer months. Due to the proximity to Grayson Highlands State Park and Jefferson National Forest, you may occasionally see a wild pony wandering the property. There’s bountiful wildlife around the property including deer, turkey, many bird species, and the occasional black bear.
