The Canyon Hideout Bungalow is a cozy Airstream retreat located in Cortez, Colorado, United States. The bungalow can accommodate up to 2 guests with one bedroom and one bathroom. During your vacation stay, you'll have the entire Airstream to yourself. This is a refurbished 1958 Airstream trailer with a retro/contemporary feel. The vacation bungalow is on the same 80 plus acre property as the owner's other Airbnb Cabin Building. The Canyon Hideout is tucked in the private red rock canyons under a 900 plus year-old Juniper tree, with this private bungalow having everything you need. During your vacation stay, you can enjoy miles of hiking into the Canyon of the Ancients National Monument. This is the perfect vacation idea for nature lovers and hikers.

Everything inside this1958 Airstream Land Yacht is new. There is a private bathroom just a few steps off the front patio with a shower, sink, heater, and toilet. The new queen-sized pillow-top bed is very comfortable. Cooktop stove, mid-sized fridge, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, dishes, and cooking utensils. It has a new AC & heater, TV & Blue Ray DVD player and a selection of movies. There's a covered patio connected to the front of the Airstream, with outside barbecue and table and chairs and outside heater for the cooler nights. Dine inside the Airstream or out. It's fully furnished with bedding and towels and all the amenities one needs.
The Airstream and bathroom are tucked into the red rocks under one of the oldest Juniper trees recorded. The cozy vacation retreat has a very private backyard area with a hammock, table, benches, and an umbrella in a very natural setting. This location is a hiker's paradise with miles of hiking trails into the Canyon of the Ancients National Monument right off your tiny bungalow. The owners have a tipi in the main canyon on a beautiful overlook. If this is available you are welcome to use the tipi.
There are many canyons and side canyons and a year-round creek that have a variety of trees, cacti, wildflowers, animals, animals, and trails that you have access to. There is also a horse trail on the property and a dry wash to hike that will take you into several side canyons. During the monsoons, there are wonderful waterfalls that are cascading off the cliffs along with spectacular lightning storms that roll through in the summer months. If you like climbing, the red rocks have several areas to discover and alcoves with thousand plus-year-old ruins.
The Canyon Hideout is in a great area that you don't see elsewhere. During your vacation stay, you can see the Ute Mountain from your bungalow. You are in the high red rock desert which is 5600 feet high with pinions and old juniper trees that are estimated to be over 900 years old. There is a historic cemetery in the canyon that you can hike to. The original road was washed-out along with homes in 1911. The old road used to be near the bungalow.
