A Rich Historical Legacy

The history of Svetla Chateau dates back to the Middle Ages when Stepan of Sternberk built a Gothic fortress protected by moats here in 1393. From 1429, the Trcku of Lípa family in the second half of the 16th century rebuilt the property into a hunting chateau in Renaissance style. The preserved Latin inscription above the portal in the southern facade comes from this period.
