The cozy cottage has a fully equipped kitchen, a private bathroom with a shower, a private terrace with a barbecue, and a big private hot tube with a stunning view. The guesthouse has one separate sleeping room with a double-sized bed, a sleeping couch in the living area and two mattresses in the loft, which is accessible by a ladder.
During your vacation stay you'll have use of the entire cabin building with a private fully equipped kitchen, a private bathroom with shower, private hot tub filled with natural hot water, private barbecue, and private furnished patio.
There is no washing machine or dryer in the small cottage plan but if guests need to wash something the owners can take care of it. You are very welcome to visit the horses in the stable and also outside in the fields. You'll just want to remember to always close any gate that you open to get into the pasture and also to please not feed the horses. The horses are very friendly and curious.
The Akurgeroi Guest House is set on a family-owned horse farm that is located in the beautiful area of Olfus, just an 8-minute drive from the towns Hverageroi and Selfoss and just 30 minutes from the capital Reykjavík.
The drive to the international airport in Keflavik is only 1 hour and 15 minutes.
It is recommended that guests to the cozy cottage stay more than one night, this is because to experience Iceland you'll want to take it slow and not rush from one sight to the next.
You will be surprised at just how everything in Iceland changes with the light. Just sitting in your private hot tub and enjoying the stunning view here and watching the horses right outside your windows is breathtaking. So if you plan a trip to Iceland you don't want to forget to also plan time for relaxing. There are many possible activities in the area to include hiking to a natural hot spring, golf, fishing, and riding. Many of Iceland's natural sights like the Golden Circle, Pingvellir, beautiful waterfalls, and a volcano crater are within a short driving distance. The Blue Lagoon is just over one hour away from the cottage, and the Secret Lagoon and Fridheimar with its famous tomato soup are about 45 minutes away.
