Features of the 700 square foot space include a mini-split air conditioning system, gas fireplace/heater, kitchenette with cooking, and serving accessories (2 induction cooktops), complimentary coffee, espresso, and tea, glassware and plates, 4.5 c/f fridges, microwave, tankless water heater, enclosed toilet room, shower, linens, blankets, toiletries, leather loveseat, and a Cordaroy Brand bean bag chair. Outdoors you'll find a pergola with a hot tub and bar seating, patio furniture, a propane grill, a pond with Adirondack and camping chairs, and a bold stream (1 to 3 feet deep). There is a fire pit but do not keep dry wood stocked so plan to bring some if you’re planning to use the fire pit. The vision for the place is a couples retreat, the dome home is not kid or pet friendly.
There are two dome homes on the vacation property, this one is the larger of the 2. Guests will have use of approximately one acre each, they have designed the space with privacy in mind. Each dome home has its private parking area, hot tub, and fire pit. Other than the driveway, you will not share anything with any other guest.
The dome home is located in Hendersonville, North Carolina, United States. The vacation property is located at the end of a private drive, just 5 miles from Chimney Rock State Park. Lake Lure is right around the corner, and the shops and restaurants of Hendersonville are about 20 minutes away. You can be in downtown Asheville in about 40 minutes (24miles). There are a few small convenience stores close by, but the nearest large grocery store is about 20 minutes away, so pls plan accordingly. The owners recommend stopping by the Ingles before you arrive. There are 2 locations, off the Hwy 64 exit if you are coming from interstate 26. Or 2 miles off the Hwy 74 exit if you are coming from interstate 40.
Please note that you'll be on a gravel road when you get to the property. Edney Inn Rd winds you through a picturesque setting of farms and vacation homes. When the pavement ends at the artist's studio, you've still got one mile to go through the woods. There are no steep roads or edge of the mountain drama, the dome home is accessible for any type of vehicle. Just know you'll be off the beaten path away.
