In a log home, the kitchen is definitely usually a feature of the home, which is why it's a good idea to do some research before planning and creating the kitchen of your dreams. Looking at other log home designs and kitchen designs in log homes is a great way to figure out what you want your kitchen to look like. Switching out the old black or white appliance for new, stainless steel appliances is always a good move in any home design. These stainless steel appliances can also instantly update any kitchen, taking it up a notch in luxury.
In one of the other log homes, they feature large posts and trusses that not only give the home structural support but they area great feature to look at as well.
This log home kitchen has solid black walnut cabinets which look amazing in contrast with the medium toned logs and the marble countertops with marble flooring. There are also two separate islands, one for food prep and the other for seating and eating with stools surrounding it. This would be an excellent kitchen for entertaining.
Another log home features a simple kitchen with clean lines and an island with a bar, but also a bar along the wall with windows facing out looking over the gorgeous forest property.
A gas range is built into the island in the centre of the kitchen with lots of cabinet and drawer storage and a small kitchen sink too.

The surrounding cabinets and countertops are beautiful as well as the gorgeous custom metal hood fan adorned in stone above the stove and oven. It's touches like these that really make a kitchen go from ordinary to extraordinary.
Some people even renovate older log homes and give them a brand new facelift like the log home in Ohio that one couple renovated together.
They added stainless steel appliances with some beautiful light birch cabinets and granite countertops for a classic yet modern look. They also added some brick around the oven area for some rustic charm too.
